Downloaded and played a couple of matches. The game isn’t available on the SA PSN, you can grab it from a EU or US store. * I face rolled my keyboard for that fake number What do you think? Does Invokers Tournament tickle your fancy? Also, thanks to Guild for the heads up. That being said, this is a console MOBA, meaning it may find a solid community away from the Master Race. I’d like to think I am open minded, but I will almost always go back to Dota 2 (although Heroes of the Storm has been receiving lots of my attention to be honest). It’s nigh impossible to uproot a player from their game of choice. I do think the MOBA market is one tough cookie to crack though, and it’s getting very, very crowded. The other is a lot simpler – the ever popular domination-type game, where points need to be controlled to accumulate score. One seems to the typical destroy-the-enemy-core, with separate side objectives designed to give a team an advantage. Judging by the website, there are two game modes to play. These Invokers reach the City of Anundabar, where they will compete in its Tournaments against other players in quick 3v3 online matches full of action. In Invokers Tournament you will adopt the role of an Invoker, a warrior-mage who can transform into different avatars, each with their own special characteristics and abilities. Seems interesting, although it doesn’t look like the “traditional” MOBA. It’s called Invokers Tournament, it’s free-to-play (with in-game transactions), and it’s now available on the PlayStation 4 and Vita, with a PlayStation 3 version coming soon. That guy with lots of spells from Dota 2 is hosting a competition. Worse come to worse you spent a little time downloading this while making a sammich and spend a few seconds un-installing it.Probably the first thing I ask myself when I get up in the morning is, “why are there so few MOBAs in the world?” Then I realise we’re not back in 2013, and that there are approximately 4536* different titles in existence now. I'd this game is worth at least checking out. The same 4 (or 5 can't remember) mission get very boring and repetitive. My biggest gripe would definitely be the lack of offline mission variety. I mean a majority of what's wrong with this game could easily be patched, and everything else is just players taking advantage of an ultimately punishment-less system that has been in place. I mean nothing really beats free unless someone is paying you to get/play their game. This could be seen as increasing playtime however most will get bored of this much grinding unless they've played games like the Diablo series or Phantasy Star series. Spending 4 hours grinding gold to buy a ring that costs 5,000 gold is a bit tedious. There could easily be better ways to get gold or at least increase the amount of gold received at the end of a match or mission (from a design standpoint). Games where your team quits on you, it seems there is nothing implemented to refresh your ranks as I've stayed in games of 1 v 3 and never gotten any team mates added to my team. As well as rage quitters who leave your team 2 v 3 or even 1 v 3 (this kind of stuff happens a LOT). A more harsh punishment for AFKers for instance and trolls who just stand in their home-base where they are free from attack. The competitive multi-player could use some tweaks. Gets boring after about the third time clearing the same mission. Same missions just increased enemy level and difficulty. The offline "missions" are extremely repetitive. Especially if your casually playing this game and not grinding constantly for gold. CONS: Gear/rings are pretty steep in price. Got to level 45 so far with no purchases however now the grind to gain levels is extremely difficult but more rewarding. No mandatory microtransactions (as previously stated). After you've cleared the first few "stages" to increase the difficulty, you will find yourself at a level disadvantage to the enemies which makes it a bit more challenging. Decently challenging offline type game play (missions). After PROS: Game play mechanics are simple and easy to grasp as well are the controls.
